You just can’t buy wellness, it’s not an item to be picked up off a supermarket self.
Wellness is about good health on every level, being the best mentally, physically and emotionally. It’s about our lifestyles and how me and you keep ourselves in balance.
Flu Virus and Fear
In the news at the moment everything is focused on the new flu virus and there is a pandemic of fear. The positive of this is people are being made aware of the fact that we are not alone and our actions affect other people. So if we don’t wash our hands, cough and sneeze over everyone then we are being irresponsible. It’s also our responsibility to look after our health in the best way we can so we don’t burden an already burdened system.
Let’s be really honest here too, people can and do die from flu. So taking preventative measures are really important. Building your immune system, being as fit and healthy as you can ( and it is an individual thing) is something really empowering that you can do for yourself.
Wellness and Good Health
One thing is for sure and that is Good health or Wellness is something to be very grateful for and it pays dividends to invest in your health.
If you can build your immune system then it’s far less likely that you will be infected and if you do then it’s likely to be less severe.
So how do we improve our health?
- Eating a healthy, nutritious diet is really important, getting all the vitamins and minerals that your body needs for its every day functions. Look at it a bit like putting fuel in your car. It has to be the right fuel.
- Exercise is important too and there are many different forms of exercise to suit individual needs, the trick is to pick something you are going to enjoy.
- Self nurture, looking after yourself is a must. You need to re-charge your batteries.
- Dealing with, and finding ways to handle the stresses in life aids good emotional health, getting enough rest, and finding enjoyment and fulfillment in what you do.
There is a tremendous amount that you can do yourself to enjoy good health and there are many alternative health protocols which can really help too, especially if you are just starting out.
Coaching and hypnotherapy can really help you get on track and kick start your motivation.
Reflexology, massage, yoga, are just some of the great ways to relax.
It goes without saying that bad habits like smoking, eating too much processed foods, too much sugar etc are things that really need to be tackled.
Achieving wellness is all about balance, and it doesn’t have to be a chore, it’s something that can be really enjoyable.
