Homeopathy is a system of medicine that recognizes that you are an individual and how you experience things will be unique to you. It is not new- it has been around for hundreds of years. It is widely used in Europe and countries like India. England did have 5 homeopathic hospitals but they are gradually being closed because of cut backs.
In England patients are really lucky to have the NHS and currently homeopathy is available on the NHS but it can be difficult to get.
Other ways of using homeopathy are to visit a private homeopath. Some health insurers will refund part or all of the professional fee. Homeopaths like me work to a strict code of conduct and are registered with an official body. I am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
When illness affects us or when we are feeling under the weather we deserve to have a choice of how we are treated and with what methods. Treatment with homeopathy is one of the choices available.
When I first found homeopathy I had been unwell for a number of years. After about 2 months of visiting a homeopath the symptoms I had been experiencing were gone. I was quite simply amazed , so much so that I undertook a 4 year training course to become a homeopath.
You don’t have to be ill to enjoy the benefits of homeopathy. Homeopathy can be used as a preventative medicine to strengthen the immune system and impart a feeling of well being.
How Can Homeopathy Help You?
Homeopathy can help with numerous complaints. I have used it for headaches, minor burns, bumps and bruises, colds, sinusitis, menopause and much more.
Its really useful to have a small kit of homeopathic remedies at home that can be used in times of need.

For emergencies, always contact your medical practitioner and follow their direction.
How Does It Work?
Homeopathtic remedies are made from potentised substances, these can be minerals, metals, flowers, gems, colours and many more.
Potentisation could be described as the energy or essence released from the said substance. Homeopathic remedies are made by taking a substance eg coffee, dissolving it in water/alcohol and then potentising it.
From the solution one drop is taken and placed into 99 parts water/alcohol. This first dilution is then succussed, shaken(this was traditionally done by banging the remedy on a bible) by hand but now the bible has gone and many pharmacies now use machines.
From the above dilution we would then be left with a 1 hundreth dilution, described as a 1C, a further drop taken from that dilution and added to another 99 parts water/alchohol would give us a 2 C and so on.
For acute conditions we would probably use a 6c or 30c. Homeopathic remedies are therefore very dilute (but highly energised) and after the 9C there is no physical substance left.
So how does it work?
The human body is made up of over 70% water. Homeopathic remedies are water/alcohol based. Water molecules in solution communicate with each other through hydrogen bonds
Water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen bonded together. Water has a memory and homeopathic remedies hold the vibration(resonance) of the original substance. Homeopathy is the essence the vibration of the substance, the dynamic energy of the original substance.
